"Dhaka, a city that I didn’t know much about. A city that looked like any other. The roads were jammed with cars moving in the same direction, the heat reminded me of the city my mother grew up in, the people not any different either. I had just crossed a man-made border to enter Bangladesh, which was once a part of India.
This project is a series of photographs taken while in a boat on the river, Buriganga or “old Ganges. The river was once considered to be the life of Dhaka, today it is dying. The water has a polluted green colour to it, one look and you would know that no life-form would survive beneath that surface but life still goes on above.”
